A letter from our team re: Roe
With the news of an impending Roe v. Wade reversal, we’ve found ourselves feeling…a lot. We know you don’t need a vibrator company to acknowledge that these are incredibly heavy times, but if you’ve been going through it this week, just know that you’re not alone.
Unbound is a small company—we’re only 8 people. Some of us grew up in staunchly pro-life towns, some of us have worked as clinic escorts, some have had abortions, but all of us know what’s at stake when this medical procedure is no longer accessible, safe, and legal.
The work of destigmatizing abortion will never stop, and we know that especially in moments like this, it matters more than ever that we use our platform. In the coming weeks, we hope to shine more light on what access to abortion has meant to our team and community, whether directly or indirectly. If you feel compelled, please consider joining our team and sharing your story here.
If you find yourself ready to engage, know that you will be joining countless activists and healthcare professionals who have been doing the work for decades. And if you’re just wanting to process this for a bit, know that rest is absolutely a valid form of resistance. Check in with a friend, prepare a meal you loved when you were a kid, or just watch that movie that always comforts you (hello, Romy & Michele’s High School Reunion).
Whatever you do, know that the power of our pleasure and joy will always be underestimated by those who seek to limit it.
All our support & solidarity,
The Unbound team
